The ImAFUSA project prominently featured a significant milestone on its schedule with the 13th SESAR Innovation Days (SIDs) held from November 27 to 30, 2023, in Seville, Spain. The project actively participated by presenting a poster at the exhibition venue. This event served as an excellent platform to foster synergies with our European counterparts, working collaboratively towards a shared objective and expediting innovation to realise the vision of the Digital European Sky.
Namely, Helena Almeida and Margarida Lopes from our project coordinator ISCTE- Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE) represented the ImAFUSA project, which along with other SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking projects, presented its poster and mission in this important event in European aviation research.
As part of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, the ImAFUSA project was also represented at the U-space coordination cell meeting, which took place during the SIDs. It was a very productive experience, allowing us to share knowledge with the FAA - Federation of Aviation Administration.
The SESAR Innovation Days (SIDs) are the main vehicle for the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking to share progress and disseminate the results of exploratory research. Organised annually since 2011, the SIDs has become a reference event in the European aviation research calendar.
