ImAFUSA was delighted to participate in the 5th Innovative Air Mobility Symposium (IAMS 2025) in Göttingen on November 17-18, hosted by the Institute of Flight Guidance of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR).
Our team contributed directly to the scientific programme:
James McLeod delivered an oral presentation highlighting the work conducted at ISCTE Lisbon on visual pollution and annoyance, using virtual reality as an innovative approach to study human perception.
Raffaello Mariani of KTH presented a poster detailing our research into perceived safety within emerging air mobility environments.
Beyond these presentations, our consortium partner KTH was also invited to participate in the Stakeholder Forum 2025, an interactive workshop featuring short talks and discussions with key actors from the Innovative Air Mobility ecosystem.
The symposium brought together experts from industry, research institutions, and academia to address crucial questions shaping the future of Innovative Air Mobility (IAM)—from overcoming current challenges to integrating IAM into smart inter-modal transport systems, to designing next-generation vertiports, addressing societal concerns such as safety, privacy, noise, and sustainability, and exploring the role of autonomy and AI in future operations.
We are pleased that ImAFUSA’s work could contribute to these important conversations and help advance the research landscape in this rapidly evolving field.
